Insurance cover is the key to economic revival and better access to insurance will mean, the difference between the constant struggle with poverty and better prospects for financially inclusive futures.
Through the SCSR Programme insurers can become integral drivers of financial inclusion through social investment and by so doing, current public perception of insurance would be transformed into that of trust and respect as a social driver of national economic growth through the improved futures of millions of people currently blighted by poverty.
“Cowardice asks the question - is it safe? Expediency asks the question - is it politic? Vanity asks the question - is it popular? But conscience asks the question - is it right? And there comes a time when one must take a position that is neither safe, nor politic, nor popular; but one must take it because it is right.”
Martin Luther King
